I had the pleasure of working with Salvatore while studying for my Masters degree in furniture design at Istituto Marangoni London. As a design professional communication is a vital part of my practice, but like many other creatives I suffered from extreme self doubt and imposter syndrome which began to have a serious affect on my ability to speak publicly. Straight away Salvatore showed an interest in me and what I was trying to achieve. His calm demeanour made him instantly easy to connect with, he was made to help people. Through our sessions we worked on specific strategies to my needs where I learned to get out of my head in stressful situations and to take control. Today not only do I revisit these strategies to overcome public speaking opportunities, I revisit them when faced with any challenge in my life. I pursue my career with a different mindset and I owe a lot of that to Salvatore.
During my time at Istituto Marangoni from 2020 to 2023, Salvatore was a constant source of support and guidance from the very beginning of my studies. During our sessions, even in the most stressful periods, he always helped me see the solutions, offering a calm perspective that made challenges feel manageable, and we always managed to share a good laugh. His encouragement and insights allowed me to express my creativity freely and translate my ideas into paper, which significantly improved both my grades and writing skills. He believed in my potential and pushed me to strive for excellence, turning my uncertainties into strengths. The connection we built over the years was invaluable, and his support was instrumental in shaping my journey at Istituto Marangoni.
It is a pleasure to work with Salvatore, having worked with him during the Worldskills 2013 Cycle from the Squad Selection right up to and including the final competition in Leipzig. Salvatore has always worked in collaboration with myself in the pursuit of achieving the best for the competitor. His knowledge of coaching and mentoring young people has made working with Salvatore effortless and his professionalism is outstanding. He clearly has a good understanding of how to manage the development of people with his experience from his own education and coaching business and he recognises other environmental drivers involved such as company commitments and he always empowers competitors to do their personal best. Salvatore is pro-active and communicates effectively and this has helped forge a strong relationship with the competitor and myself. He also has a great sense of humour at the right times, which makes him good fun to be around
I thought I would like to write personally to you to say a big thank you for the work you undertook with us in the Vocational Masterclass Programme. I saw all the evaluations and follow-up reports and it has been amazingly successful, more so than any of the other programmes I have worked with over the last decade or more. And much of that was due to the work you and some of your colleagues in the Worldskills team put in. The coaching sessions were always mentioned as a strength in the evaluations- you succeeded in motivating teachers as well as giving them practical ideas.
I feel lucky to have been able to work with you
I worked with Salvatore Circelli in the running of several World Skills/IfL Masterclasses to boost vocational learning and teaching.
Salvatore was always very well received and liked by participants. His input was highly valued and often people asked if he would be able to give them further support in future.
The professional knowledge and skills that Salvatore shared were based on many years’ experience of coaching, often working with very challenging learners; as well as with learners who have reached world class standards in their vocational skills.
He was always very professional but also good humoured. As a result, he was highly respected by colleagues in the masterclass programme and by participants.
I would recommend any organisation interested in boosting learning and teaching to contact Salvatore for his support.
Salvatore was my Performance Coach during my World Skills 2013 journey and I can honestly say that I performed to a much higher standard due to his guidance and calm attitude in high pressure situations. He was always there to offer support when it was needed and helped to keep my mind focused on the end goal more times than i can remember. I know I performed at my best as a result of this. Salvatore is very friendly and professional, I look forward to working with him again in the future
During my 12 month experience of WorldSkills, I worked very closely with Salvatore as he was my Performance Coach throughout the whole process. His calm and collected approach to many a problem enabled me to achieve not only a prestigious Performance of Excellence Medal at Worldskills Competition in Leipzig 2013, but also the status of being a part of the 4th best Manufacturing Team (MTC) in the world, ranking behind the likes of Korea, Japan and Netherlands! Salvatore’s personality makes him so easy to work with and I can’t thank him enough for what he has done for me.
I look forward to working and achieving great results with Salvatore in the future.
Salvatore was present for my whole worldskills journey from day one right through to the Gold medal at the end. I have no doubt in my mind that the support network Salvatore offered me was instrumental in my success and achievements through the whole process. Tips and techniques he is ever so willing to share and teach, no doubt help calm and focus the mind at times of pressure and also allows us to chill at times of calm and rest. Salvatore’s friendly and open attitude works wonders when trying to get the best out of the person he is working with and with this I consider him not only my team leader but a good friend!
Salvatore was our tutor and coached and he encouraged us so much. He always said we can do it. Salvatore had faith in me and that made me strong. You see when I got to university the work felt easy compared to college but what I realised was, that Salvatore empowered us to reach our limits because he knew we could do it more than we did, plus he was actually preparing us for university work. Salvatore changed my life for the better he made me realise that I can achieve anything in life, if you tried hard enough. Every time I think of him my heart warms because of his dedication to his students we went far, I went on to achieve my BA Hons in Criminology.A good teacher reflects in his students and I am just one of many that is inspired by him. You are still my inspiration every time.
Salvatore Circelli worked with WALTZ Programmes as a trainer, coach and facilitator on our programmes for a period of over five years. Salvatore has first-class training and coaching skills, and is able to build excellent rapport with participants on our programmes, including young people with special needs or difficulties. He is reliable, enthusiastic and positive in his outlook, and it is always a pleasure to be able to include him in our programmes.
Salvatore came to HMYOI Portland to deliver training to a group of 18-21 year old young men.The course was aimed at motivating and raising self esteem, with the overall aim being to help these individuals find employment on release from prison. Salvatore immediately established a bond with all of the participants and put them at ease. He ran sessions on body language and life planning and throughout each session the participants were completely captivated and involved. The feedback we had was fantastic and everyone who took part said they felt inspired and positive about their futures. This is something which is not easy to achieve within a prison setting and I am extremely grateful to Salvatore for achieving this – Thank You!
I have known Salvatore for 15 years. He is efficient, dynamic, imaginative and has been an excellent ambassador for London South Bank University. I first got to know Salvatore when he worked at Southwark College, as the Manager of Business courses. It is through Salvatore that we made our most meaningful link with Southwark College and this culminated in the signing of a Progression Agreement in respect of his course at the time at Southwark College, BTEC Tourism, for progression to our BA Tourism & Hospitality at London South Bank University. When Salvatore left Southwark College, he became an Education Consultant. I continued to work with Salvatore, since we set up the Tourism in Schools project. Through this project, we delivered a level 4 unit in Tourism to year 12 and year 13 students in their schools/colleges. Salvatore played a key role here, both in terms of marketing this project but also in the delivery of this project to some of our partner schools/colleges. Salvatore has delivered our level 4 unit to schools/colleges in LB Wandsworth and more recently to the Harris Federation of Sixth Form Academies. This delivery was a massive success, which inspired many of the pupils to progress to higher education.
It has been an absolute pleasure working with Salvatore
